How Do I Submit a FOIA Request?

Please make all requests in writing. You may submit written request by mail, fax (815-796-4429), or email. Please mail your request to:

The requestor should clearly state what information is being sought and include full contact information for the requestor, including name, organization, mailing address, fax number, and phone number.  

What Are the Fee Requirements?

If the requested records are 50 pages, or less, the records will be copied and mailed to the requestor at no cost.

If the records requested exceed 50 pages, The Village of Flanagan will notify the requestor and a copy fee will incur at $.15 cents per page.

Fees may be waived or reduced under certain circumstances.

*All files may be viewed in person at the village hall (101 W South St).*

How Long Should I Expect To Wait? 

The village of Flanagan will respond within five (5) working days of receipt of request. An extension of five (5) working days is allowed with written notification to the requester.
